Golden Milk Lattes

This latte isn't like your Starbucks one, this one is a nutrition pick-me-up packed with a healthy (and spicy) flavor. Paired with the Seeded Granola (another recipe is provided), you'll have the complete breakfast experience.



Ingredients:

  • 1 (13.5-ounce) can coconut milk

  • 1 (1-inch) piece fresh turmeric, sliced

  • 1 (1-inch) piece fresh ginger, sliced

  • 1/2 cinnamon stick

  • 3 tbsp. pure honey

  • 2 tsp. whole peppercorns

  • 1 tsp. whole cloves

  • 1/4 tsp. ground turmeric

  • 1/4 c. water

  • 1 1/2 c. whole milk, steamed and frothed


 

Instructions:


Combine coconut milk, turmeric and ginger slices, cinnamon stick honey, peppercorns, cloves, ground turmeric and water in a medium saucepan. Bring to a simmer and cook until infused, 18 to 20 minutes. Strain, discarding solids. For each serving, steam and froth 1/4 cup coconut milk mixture. Top with 1/4 cup steamed and frothed whole milk.
